MBSR can help people to cope with and improve physical symptoms caused by long-term illness. MBSR as a complementary treatment (in addition to standard medical care)… can help you to deal with stress caused by things beyond your control, such as:

  • long-term conditions, especially if you have chronic pain or distressing symptoms
  • life events
  • stress at work
  • the stress of being a carer
  • anxiety (regardless of the cause)
  • sleep problems

Across 8 sessions (of 2 hours each) + a full, ‘retreat-style’ day between weeks 6 & 7, you explore how mindfulness can reduce your stress levels through simple, accessible techniques. Find greater self-acceptance and care, in body, mind and heart.

Mindfulness practice has been proven to reduce stress. Meeting with care what’s really going on for you, you learn to pay attention to your needs the way you’d listen to a close friend.

Learning mindfulness offers a clearer understanding of your actions and habits. You learn to make different choices for wellbeing, with guidance and support from a friendly, skilled teacher.
