How To Be Kind To Yourself – Online Monthly Mindfulness Sessions

Sundays | 10.00am – 11.00am BST on Zoom

The emphasis on caring for ourselves… is the foundation of our ability to connect with ourselves and with others from a basis of love and respect rather than from fear and aggression.

In these sessions, you will explore how mindfulness practices can help you find greater self-acceptance and care, in body, mind and heart, reducing your stress levels through proven, evidence-based approaches.

Meeting with care what’s really going on for you, you learn to pay attention to your needs the way you’d listen to a close friend, letting go of old patterns of self-punishment or self-criticism.

The emphasis in this course on self-care offers a clearer understanding of your actions and habits. You learn to make different choices for your wellbeing, with guidance and support from a friendly, skilled teacher.

From the course teacher:

Before I came to mindfulness, people would often say to me “You need to be kind to yourself” and I genuinely did not understand what that meant; how you do that.

Through mindfulness and meditation I came to see that I certainly knew how to be unkind to myself, with my thoughts, actions and feelings.

So I realised it must be possible to learn to be kind to myself instead. Mindfulness gave me the tools to make that intention into a reality with clear, practical approaches.
